Wanna Hear More About Me, Huh?

Well, here you go, my friend.

I first found my love for theatre at a very early age, when my mother showed me (at, arguably, too young an age) Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera and like millions of others, I was hooked. Followed by that was years of trips into New York to see Broadway shows and being mesmerized every second by the pure magic. But even more so, HOW the magic happens.

Cut to my sophomore year of high school and I was just cut from our Fall Drama auditions. No hard feelings there! But I still wanted to be a part of it, still have my hand in that magic and thankfully, the director was in agreement. I'd run deck crew in the past and offered my assistance there, but was raised one and asked if I wanted to stage manage. And as they say, the rest is history.

But I'll guess you probably want more.

I stage managed a handful of shows throughout the rest of my high school career and loved every minute of it. Finally getting my chance to understand that magic. But truthfully, when it came to college, I'd felt like it wasn't a path I should take. So I didn't. And boy, did I regret that. I went to Montclair State University where I obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Fine Arts with a Studio Concentration and all of those pretty words boil down to that I got a degree in Photography. Yeah, go take a look at that portfolio tab again (;

I was lucky enough to be able to pick up a minor in Theatre while still in college, but as is true for all artists, a taste was not nearly enough. Fast forward to 2019, with a hot off the press college degree in my hands, I sprinted to every community theatre I could find in a 10 mile radius and asked if any of them needed a hand. My first show out of college was a youth production of Mary Poppins that'll hold a special place in my heart for the rest of my life for many reasons, but the biggest one of all being that I stood on a stage again for the first time in 4 1/2 years and was welcomed back home.
